

About Anchitta
The Full Story
Anchitta Noowong (Kitty) is an internationally traveled filmmaker who started in Thailand, making her way to Australia, and finally to Portland, Oregon USA, although she's worked in Japan as well. An award-winning filmmaker, her short documentary Not Yours won Juror’s First Place Winner in the student film category at ACT Human Rights Film Festival in 2017. Her short August won Best Relationship Drama at Oregon Short Film Festival in 2020 and has been featured by institutions stateside and internationally in articles and broadcasts. Anchitta completed her BA in Film at Portland State University in 2019 with a minor in Business. Anchitta's biggest influence in her life is her mother, which motivates her to tell stories about the female experience. As a first-generation immigrant, her work aims to uplift the voices of BIPOC communities, especially of Asian Americans.
Currently, Anchitta works as a freelance 1st Assistant Director and Video Editor
